Introduction
Mediation is well established as an alternative means of dispute resolution where an independent and impartial facilitator assists and guides parties towards a mutually acceptable outcome. It is positively encouraged by the courts and unreasonable failure to consider mediation may result in an adverse costs order being made.Richard Bowman has been a full time mediator since 2004. He is accredited as a mediator by two of the major mediation organisations. He lectures here and abroad on mediation.
Richard has brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to the process of mediation and dispute resolution. His appointments as a mediator include complex partnership and property disputes. At the instance of a court in the United States he has conducted a successful mediation of a multi-jurisdictional dispute.
